Leave me out.
You know the feeling you get when you're surrounded by people biased against you? Wait... You dont have the mother that I have so you dont know anything. You dont know what it is like to be"respected". You dont know what it feels like to be accused and screamed at when there is no proper evidence. You dont know how it feels like to have everyone around you look at you through your mother's biased eyes. To have all your bad experiences and truth spilled out while your other sibling gets away scott free. You dont know how it feels like to have everything blamed on you. even before the truth is out. You dont know what it is like to hide your tears as you type, not wanting to show anyone your weakness. You dont know how it feels like to live with your family yet feel like a stranger at your own home. You dont know how it feels like to be the only one who knows that your mother hates you, loates you who outcasts you from the whole family, who forgets that you even exist and only asks your sibling to get changed cos she wants to leave the house to go to a cousin's birthday party.
You dont know what it's like to be me.

This indecision's bugging me.
So when someone is in the bathroom washing the mop cos the dog just peed and pooped all over the floor and the phone rings, what harm does it do to get the hell out of bed and pick the phone up? For god's sake... When you're in the freaking bathroom washing the mop, you have a tendency not to hear the bloody phone ring till awhile later. And they say let bygons be bygons... Why the hell must you freaking grumble after picking up a bloody phone call? Jeez let it go already and move on with your pathetic life...
Yep... You spoiled self centered, I-am-always-right, big headed, loserish brat... Roll your eyes and go whine to mummy... Oh you know what... I think you're gonna do just that... Or say something scarstic to me. Ohhh... I'm so scared of all the shit you say... God... Get a life already...

Colour My World
So this blog entry... I'm gonna make it more interesting rather than talk about my boring life, though that's what blogs are mainly for...
But I'll just touch briefly on what happened today...
Woke up at 1.10pm, then around 2 plus, Ain and Alvin came over to do our Data Communications and Networking Project. Messed around, played Call of Duty on the X-Box and then Alvin had to go. =/ Ain, Nicholas and I ordered Pizza and man... What a feast! Haha... Then she had to go. =(
All by my loneseome self. Let's talk about... Love.
Before I start. I'm gonna specify what type of love I'm talking about.
Love being something between a boy and a girl. Something that blossoms into a relationship and then marriage and so on.
What is love?
Love has many meanings in English, from something that gives a little pleasure ("I loved that movie") to something one would die for (patriotism, pairbonding). It can describe an intense feeling of affection, an emotion or an emotional state. In ordinary use, it usually refers to interpersonal love. Probably due to its large psychological relevance, love is one of the most common themes in art. The majority of modern movies have a love story and most pop music is about love.
Researchers (Hatfield & Rapson, 1995) have broken up love into two main types:
- Passionate love which involves continuously thinking about the loved one and also involves warm sexual feelings and powerful emotional reactions.
- Companionate love is having trusting and tender feelings for someone who is close to you.
Now one of the best known theories of love (which means an educated guess that isn't proven fact) is Robert Sternberg's Triangular Theory of Love.
The three components of the Triangular Theory of Love are:
Passion, the feeling physically aroused and attracted to someone.
Passion is what makes you feel "in love" and is the feeling most associated with love. It also rises quickly and strongly influences and biases your judgment.
Intimacy, the feeling close and connected to someone (developed through sharing and very good communications over time).
Intimacy is what makes you want to share and offer emotional and material support to each other.
Commitment, pledging to your self and each other to strengthen the feelings of love and to actively maintain the relationship.
Commitment is what makes you want to be serious, have a serious relationship and promise to be there for the other person if things get tough.
Is there love at first sight?
This is when we are overwhelmed by passion, without any intimacy or commitment (both of which take time). Sternberg calls this infatuated love, Because there is not intimacy or commitment, infatuated love is fated to fade away.
Infatuation is instant desire - one set of glands calling to another.
Love is friendship that has caught fire. It takes root and grows, one day at a time.
Infatuation is marked by a feeling of insecurity. You are excited and eager, but not genuinely happy. There are nagging doubts, unanswered questions, little bits and pieces about your beloved that you would just as soon not examine too closely. It might spoil the dream.
Love is the quiet understanding and mature acceptance of imperfection. It is real. It gives you strength and grows beyond you - to bolster your beloved. You are warmed by their presence, even when they are away. Miles do not separate you. You have so many wonderful little films in your head that you keep replaying. But near or far, you know they are yours, and you can wait.
Infatuation says, "We must get married right away. I can't risk losing them."
Love says, "Be patient. Don't panic. Plan your future with confidence."
Infatuation has an element of sexual excitement. Whenever you are together, you hope it will end in intimacy.
Love is not based on sex. It is the maturation of friendship, which makes sex so much sweeter. You must be friends before you can be lovers.
Infatuation lacks confidence. When they're away, you wonder if they're cheating. Sometimes, you check.
Love means trust. You are calm, secure and unthreatened. They feel your trust, and it makes them even more trustworthy.
Infatuation might lead you to do things you will regret, but love never steers you in the wrong direction.
Love is an upper. It makes you feel whole. It completes the circle. It fills the empty space in your heart. Love is elevating. It lifts you up. It makes you look up. It makes you think up. It makes you a better person than you were before. If you have love in your life, it can make up for a great many things you don't have. If there is no love in your life, whatever else there is has a lot less meaning.
The secret of our being is not only to live but to have something to live for.
Relationships pave the way for us to recapture our wholeness by correcting the distortions of caretaking and socialization that distanced us from our original selves (when just born). It is in unconditional loving our partner, making it safe for them to open to love, letting that love sink in over time so that trust can build, that allows their fullness to come back into being, so they can feel their oneness (like the baby in the womb), their totality. ...love is the answer. It is the love we give that heals our partner, and the love we receive that heals us.
With this note I would like to share a comic drawn on my birthday this year (6th September for all those who doesn't know.) of Two innocents demonstrating the meaning of love; created by Kim Casali, now drawn by Stefano Casali.
Take care all.

'Tis the season to be jolly.

MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL!!!
So we had our traditional family party yesterday (Christmas Eve) at Uncle David's new house. Started the party with Charades onnly after dinner but it was still fun. Then we had the balloon blowing competition which Nicholas won. After that was pyramid game. Small jie jie and Sean took the prize. Then it was the HIGHLIGHT of the day, VIDEO GAMES COMPETITION!!! It was superbly exciting. Aunt Jenifer beat Uncle Chua, Ronald beat Bjorn (sigh), Small Jie Jie beat elysia, I beat Nicholas. So in the Finals, it was me against Ronald. In the end, Ronlad took the prize... ... ... Oh well... One day... One day... After much excitement, we played musical chairs. Ended up with Darren and I and I took the final seat. :)
We had one more game to go, Limborock. But due to space constraints, we decided to switch to a card game called "Stress". A two player game so I had them pick a card and those with matching colours are the people against each other. First round: Nicholas VS Jasmine, Me VS Darren, Bjorn VS Aunt Fanny and Elizabeth VS Elysia.
2nd round: Nicholas VS Me, Elizabeth Vs Bjorn. Last round: Nicholas VS Elizabeth. Winner: Nicholas. Stress was awesome! Hahaha... I had so much fun. It was all tense and stressful and all but all of us had fun in the end.
We had time to kill after the games as the adults were still in the midst of their "Mahjong" Game so us cousins played truth or dare. Nicholas was the first victim and he picked dare. Bjorn told Nick to go up to where the adults are and blow a balloon till it bursts. So nicky went to the open terrace and started blowing. Uncle Desmond started covering his ears cos he was seated the nearest to the enterance of the open terrace. Then Uncle David came out and closed the sliding door for the open terrace.
Suddenly, BOOM!!!!! The balloon burst and everyone jumped. Haha but it was AWESOME! The next best dare was with Ronald. He was supposed to call Aunt Grace and read out 5 sentences to her. Here is the list:

Sad to say, in the end, Ronald didn't do the dare. (BOO!!!) And I gathered everyone for the prize giving ceremony. Opened our presents, yaked and yaked. Then I wrapped the party up and some of us went home while the adults continued their Mahjong game.

Well nothing really interesting happened today, though it is christmas. Just spilled some hot soup over my right leg and it hurt but not anymore. And yeah, loads of frustrating events but meh... I don't care. 'Tis the season to be jolly. Eat, party, get over whatever shit that comes your way. It's called living people!

Rather Waste Some Time With You.
Quick update from where I've stopped.
Mood these days: Very much delighted thank you
Health: Not too good, sore throat and a stuffed nose
Activities in school: Reduced to a minimal after the last article I did
Computer Activity: The usual 'high' but I've miracaluously cut down my usage as compared to the past

Christmas is coming! Party on Saturday! In a way, I feel kinda bad cos my mother will not be able to join us due to work commitments. Damn those people who leaves their christmas shopping to the eve of Christmas...
Annywayss... Here's the banner that I attempted to make for GDA
Last night was the most fun I ever had online. Messed around alot and I couldn't stop laughing.
"WE CAME INTO THE WORLD NAKED
WE STAY NAKED"
"AND WE GO OUT THE SAME WE CAME IN BROTHER!"
Hahahahah... I still can't believe I said that!!! "WE CAME INTO THE WORLD NAKED
WE STAY NAKED" My friend, David, was the one who said, "AND WE GO OUT THE SAME WE CAME IN BROTHER!". Oh pish posh!!! We were having so much fun anyways!
So it's 10.32am as I type. Gotta get ready for school soon. Maths today! Whoopie! And no, I'm not being scarstic. I absoluteny adore Mr Dickson's maths lessons. Seriously... I mean it.
Right, so I'm gonna go take a bath and prepare for school now. Happy Holidays everyone!

Holiday In The Sun.
"Hi rachel, mr george tan here. Today there is no lab session but e-learning at home. Pls tell your class about this for me. Thanks. Pls acknowledge this sms."
You should have seen the expression on my face when i recieved that text. It was like, a mix of happiness and "I can't be bothered to tell the class cos I wanna sleep". Heh... However I did text them anyways... Then I went back to sleep...
Damn the weather is hot today... 33o C!!! Walking to the train station was a killer. No doubt about it... The sun was beating down on me mercilessly from the cloudless sky... Before I even reached the station, my shirt was already plastered to my back...
Data Communications and Networking was a blast! During the break, the six of us, Syamira, Ain, Alvin, Agnes and Siti, took pictures and stuff... Then we roped the teacher in to join us.
Yep... I'm gonna stop here now. Toodles all.

Let's go round and round and round and round and round and round...

We played "How Well Do You Know Your Pencil Case" today during Data Comm and Networking. Well, only me, Syamira and Agnes though. The aim of the game is to find out what is missing from your pencil case as soon as possible. Kinda lame but it kept the three of us entertained for about 10 minutes or so. Hahaha...
So as I type, I'm trying to work on my semestral project. The last webpage I did sucked major ass so I deleted it and here I am... Working on a new one. :)
Urrgh... Internet Applications tomorrow... Three bloody hours of lab... Bet that George is gonna find some lame excuse to go smoke again...
Ohhh and we took pictures today! Haha... They were awesome!!!
Yes I love you, and you, and you, and you... ... ... Oh shut up...

One foot on the peddle but never on the brake.

Nothing much to talk about today. Only lunch was like, my highlight.
Alvin and I each bought a plate of black pepper chicken noodles. (I had difficulty pronuncing the name of the dish in chinese. Yeah, I am ashamed...)
Well, seeing the number of times I got distracted and all. I've decided to stop blogging and throw in a song.
Artist: Smash Mouth Lyrics Song: Hot Lyrics
Ay, So ya wanna play,
You'll see my games on fire,
But we don't play the same game.
You see I'm greedy for speed.
And nutral means nothin to me.
So if that's your desire,
We'll get along famously.
But one thang I like to lead.
[course]
I light'em up before the motor starts.
I go so fast that I could never stop,
Look under the hood 'cause you don't know what I got.
I'm a movin vilation baby hot,hot,hot,hot.
Highway, that's my scene.
I may look like a bub when you see me.
I mean I'm floodin with disaster I'm the master of chief.
Goin faster, goin pass ya.
When that's my way.
You've got skills, somethin to proove.
But your in my way so ya better move.
One foot on the peddle but never on the brake.
When I go, I've never lost in a race.

Backfilling the soil.

You know the feeling you get after you take a pill that makes you drowsy, go to sleep, and wake up? Yeah, the feeling that you're floating around. Well, I got it this morning when I woke up. I even slept though my alarm. Well, I used to do that all the time, but not anymore. Heh...
So yeah, dragged myself out of bed... I was almost tempted to skip C Programming but obviously I didn't... Walking to the train station seemed worse than a chore. Every step I took felt like I was walking with a thousand tonnes tied to my feet. In addition to that, my head was spinning.
Slept in the train. It felt like an endless ride...
Ok, so my father just came out to yell at me to go to bed. *rolls eyes*
Good night.

I'm Bouncing Off The Walls Again.

Alvin choked on the sunlight today... He said that, not me!!! Annnnd... If he reads this, he's probably gonna come after me tomorrow, shouting, "YOU!!!" Ah well...
Anyways, today was a pretty laid back day. Internet Applications and Development was, as usual, boring like hell. For some dumbass reason, the lecturer started telling us about some friendship thing... Something like, "Let me tell you, when you guys go to University, it's most likely that you will lose contact after two years..." Well, not exactly his words but it's something along that line. When I heard him say that, and other crap, I got really pissed. Like, who the hell is he to tell us about friendship? He should just shush and concentrate on how to grab our attention cos all he does is to read from the text book. Word for word.
Well, after the less wanted torture, we set off for our different electives. Waited outside the class for like, half an hour cos the teacher forgot to bring the keys. In English, we did some dialouge completition thing and then we had this assignment which was worth 30marks. We had to read a poem. When it was my turn, the teacher told me. "When I circle, it means you made a mistake. When i put a tick, it means that you're right." And I started reading. I did pretty well cos I didn't get any circles whatsoever. [beams]
Had an hour break, headed to Macdonalds for lunch but me, Agnes and Alvin had Grinning Gecko's instead. God, the cashier was so impolite.
Last lesson of the day, Digital Electronics. We had to simplify and fix up a circuit. It was ok. Ain and I got lost halfway with the ground connection so we asked Alvin for help.
Don't ask me why but thoughout the whole day, I've been having some sort of sneezing fit. Itchy nose, itchy eyes, you name it, I got it. Well, not really but you know what i mean. ;)
I'll stop blogging now seeing how sleepy I am.

Man, I Feel Like A Woman
Hahahahaha... Today was AWESOME!!! I had a blast!!!
Aunt Grace came by at about... 12.30pm to pick me and Nicholas up. Laughed at Bjorn and his remarks in the car. Then we reached Orchard and the three of us had to walk quite a distance to get to Ceni Lesiure where we met Gregory and Ronald. Headed to K-Box but the rooms were all packed so we decided to book a room at 2.15pm. Had lunch at Burger King's and Bjorn told us loads of interesting stuff about the Army (Cos Gregory's going into the Army early next year.) Then we went up to start our singing session.
I started off, as always, with Westlife's cover of Uptown Girl. Sing sing sing... But I have to say, and I'm sure Greg, Bjorn and Nicky would agree with me that the highlight would be around the end when Ronald sang the song, "Man, I Feel Like A Woman." by Shania Twain. He had all of us laughing like god knows what... "Let's go girls...", "Man, I feel like a woman...", "...forget that I'm a lady go totally crazy... Man shirts short skirts...", "The best thing about being a woman...', hahaha... These were the sentences that really cracked up. (Click here for the lyrics.) And the way he sang it... Ronald, if you read this... *Stands up and claps* You've made that song your own... YOU OWNED!!! Haha... Well then, I ended the session with, "If I Let You Go" by Westlife. *cough*
We went out of the complex and started planning what to do next. We were planning to go bowling but we dont know where the nearest bowling alley was. Talked and talked and then we decided to play DotA. First half hour, we played Counter strike. Well, I watched the guys play cos there was something wrong with the connection on my pc and by the time they got me a working one, I only had like, 5 minutes left to play so I decided not to and watched them play instead.
It was time to move on to DotA. I teamed up with Gregory on the first game while Nicholas, Bjorn and Ronald filled the other team. At first, I was so freaking lost... I was like, "Greg, where am I? What should I do?" etc etc. Then halfway, this kind kind person started helping me out. He was like, "Click on F1 to center your character... Buy... Ok, move up... Move down..." I did so well on that game I guess...for a newbie... Well... I got help... [shifty]. Ok, second game, I was more familiar with what I have to do adn stuff now. This time, I teamed up with Bjorn and Ronald while Nicholas went with Gregory. Only got help fomr that guy for the first part. He helped me choose the character, or should I say, "Hero", and he helped me buy some stuff that I need... Then he told me what to do when my level increases. After watching me play, he left with his friends. I got my ass trashed... Gregory kept "killing" me... Haha... He's the expert anyways... =P
After our time was up, we walked out of the complex again and discussed where to go for dinner. We were like, somewhere cheap. So we went to the Food Court for dinner.
Oh yes, and I must mention that we had loads of fun flicking at each other's forehead. Hahahha... =P
Sent Ronald to the MRT station and the remaining four of us took a cab to CDans over at my side. Started talking about what we used to do in cars. Like, "Concentration", "Squish Squash Apple Sauce". Then we started talking about the karoke session and laughed all over again.
Alighted from the cab and went up to the bowling alley... It was packed like hell!!! I was expecting it to be like, deserted, with only a few bowlers but noo... It was as packed as a market on a Monday morning. We were put on a waiting list and like, we sat at a table and started talking about Harry Potter? Haha yep... Harry Potter it was... For some reason, I got Voldermot and Dumbledore mixed up... O.o haha...
FINALLY it was our turn to bowl. Got our shoes etc etc. Man, I was on a roll!!! Spare after spare.. Woohoo!!! Check the score board out! This is for the first game... The second game, I totally sucked at it. Only managed to roll a total of 77 points.
Went to my house last to play a round of Soul Calibur but it ended pretty much soon after we started.
Well, I had loads of fun... Laughing and all.
To cut the story short. One day, Rachel planned a gathering with her cousins and they had a great time messig around. The end.

Inside, outside USA

Internet Applications and Development becomes a bore when you have a teacher who's constantly craving for a puff and leaves the class with lame ass reasons like "I have a meeting." or "I'm going to have my lunch." Like, dude... You're here to teach... Stop coming up with child-like excuses to go for a puff... You're like, making me dislike you more each day...
Annnnyways... Fariz is meeting his boyfriend today... Spoke to me before he left... Cute. He was nervous and all... Hope it went well for him in the end... =P
Going out with Bjorn, Gregory and Nicholas tomorrow... We're going karoke-ing, bowling, then maybe we'll head for laser quest.
Well then, I've ran out of stuff to say now. I'll leave you with this...
A conscience does not prevent sin. It only prevents you from enjoying it...

Heh...

Note to all teachers out there:
If you step into the lecture theatre and see it half empty, or... If you see your students leave while you're teaching... ADOPT A NEW BLOODY TEACHING TECHNIQUE.
Mathematics was the first class/lecture. Mr Dickson was, as always, very entertaining. He never fails to grab my attention all the time. Did some sums and then it was the dreaded Data Communications and Networking lecture... Before that fat oaf of a lecturer could reach the theatre, half of the students stood up and left. Alvin and I comtemplated on whether we should join the majority and leave but nah... Got bored waiting and I started playing with my hair. Suddenly, I found this brown strand of hair (that is still attatched to my scalp.) and I got surprisingly excited. Started telling Sha and Agnes, then Alvin, Ain and Siti... I started laughing at my kiddy obsession and kinda caught the attention of Derek, Eugene and Kelvin who were wondering what I was so excited about. Hah... Sadly, minutes later, the teacher walked in and the remaining few settled down and the preaching began... Sat in my seat for like, 5mins, looked though the photos... Started fidgiting around in my seat... Then it hit me... "Who am I kidding? I can't sit though this shit? Screw it, I'm out of this shithole..." Then Alvin and I stood up and left.
Ah... Freedom at last... Never felt so happy in my life...
Reached home, saw Aunt Kath's car parked at a lot so I ran upstairs. Yep, Aunt Kath was there alright. She talked about my grandfather's condition, he needed this tank for oxygen by his side 24/7
Peace.

Sex, Scandal, Lust... But is it all that?

I read the Teenage Sarong Girl's blog. It's pretty interesting I should say. She gave frank and harsh opinions and yeah, pretty true ones too... Re-Valuating Sluts is one of my favourites. I quote one paragraph off this post. "Without meaning to go into theology; but I am very Christian in my beliefs and thoughts, if everyone was precious to Christ, then no one can possibly be cheap in his love. The little whore selling herself for the newest Nokia phone might look cheap to you, but she’s precious to someone else, so don’t go trying to value her worth." How true that last sentence is. We as humans, judge other people by the way they dress, act etc etc. But who are we to judge? " "Besides, valuing something as intangible and more then anything, grounded wholly in emotion as satisfaction is, is simply impossible. And honestly, the best investment (note I did not use payment) any one can put into sex is emotion, because it’s what it’s all about in the first place. Tangible commodities are certainly important to any female, because it’s biological to be attracted to providers with the capability to provide, but it’s more then that. There is a criteria, a minimum price for sex in each female individual, but after that has been met, what matters is the generosity of spirit that is revealed." Once again, quoted off that post. Go check her blog out sometime. It's pretty interesting, an eye opener...

Ok... So I got this blog thing going on... Not new to blogging but hey... Used to have a freewebs account but that died quickly... Then it was on to blogdrive and yeah, kinda died the min I made a myspace account.
So right now, I'm not doing much. Talking to Mari, Joe, and random people from the GDA Chat Room. It's been a boring day... Monday tomorrow... I hate the schedule for monday with a burning passion... English elective... Jeez... I rather have maths... No need for any dumb talk show project... I rather do the tests...
Annd... I guess I'm sticking to this layout.
1) Cos it's black... All black...
2) I can't be arsed to make another template... Some other time maybe...
3) It's not you to decide what template I use anyways... =P
Later lovely people of the earth...
